Wow! There are just so many
traffic exchanges on the internet now that it is getting more and more
difficult to choose which ones to use. Each one has an incentive to
encourage you to surf and they each offer different levels of paid
memberships. Wait! I think I'm getting ahead of myself here.
What exactly is a traffic exchange? Well, basically it is an
advertising program where you must view other people's websites in order to
earn credits so that others will see your website. This is worked on a
ratio of 2:1 or 3:1, so you have to view 2 or 3 websites to have one person
see your website. However, this is for free membership. If you
decide to upgrade to a paid membership the ratios get better and you will
also get other incentives such as free banner ads and a number of free hits
(views) per month. Now don't despair if you can't afford to purchase
an upgraded membership. Most traffic exchanges offer various
incentives as you surf and the more you surf the better your chances of
winning free hits. But it doesn't stop at website views. Some
traffic exchanges also provide banners ads, text ads and downline builders.
Some also even offer cash payments.
So how do you find the ones that are right for you and your website?
My first stop would be
Traffic Hoopla.
These guys are checking traffic exchanges on a regular basis and know the
ones that work. Their site will show you the top 20 performers each
week and you can just click on the link from this site to sign up for the
exchanges. The bonus with this is that if you refer others to
Traffic Hoopla
and they sign up through links on that site, they will be signing up under
you. This saves you a whole lot of time advertising all the different
traffic exchanges, you just have to tell people about
Traffic Hoopla.
